We can now provide drum lessons in school to provide a solid musical enrichment to your students. As a peripatetic service we offer drum lessons during the school day to suit the rhythm of your school.

In January 2019 we successfully implemented and now operate an ongoing service at Juniper Hill School, Flackwell Heath.

We are providing 20 minute one to one lessons each Wednesday, term time, which start at 9.30am and currently end at 2.20pm. The schedule is rotated in consultation with the parents and school so children avoid missing the same lessons each week.

The Misbourne Academy

​

In March 2020, we began teaching at The Misbourne Academy and although there was significant interuption, because of the Pandemic, we  were able to provide a full years tuition using Skype/Zoom, when the school was closed during lockdown. Lessons are back to normal in school and take place on Tuesdays,

 

Lessons are charged £158 per term for 20 minute weekly lessons and £239 per term for 30 minute lessons*

Claire's Court Boys School

​

In January 2922, we started offering drum lessons at Claire's Court Independent School in Maidenhead. Lessons are available on Thursdays and there are 10 lessons per term.

 

The cost for lessons at Claire's Court is currently £21 for 30 minutes*

Curriculum

​

Students learn using the Essential Drum Skills Course, which they have access to in class and from home via Gigajam's Learning Platform at gigajamvle.com  Students also have access to internationally recognised music grades awarded by University of West London. The exams are completed online, as all students exercises are recorded, uploaded and saved in their e-Portfolio as a record of progress and attainment. This is done during their weekly lesson so they are low cost and do not require a visit to an external exam centre. Students do not need to enter for the exams and the process of recording is a way of tracking how students' are progressing and personalising the learning to suit their pace and style.

Students will get the chance to play on acoustic and electronic drums as well as on the snare drum on its own. This gives them a blend of experiences which simulate modern drumming.

Pricing

​

Our 20 minute lessons are charged at £15 and payable a term in advance. Invoicing will be arranged in conjunction with school practice, which can be done by the school or by Gigajam.

​

Gigajam and our teachers are fully insured through Hiscox:

Gigajam Music School Limited Policy number: 14585808 Insurer: Hiscox Public Liability £2,000,000. 

 

We are also DBS checked, with regard to Safeguarding and, we maintain training and vigilance in line with latest guidance from the DfE on Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Recording, Live Sessions, Gigs and Bands

​

Brian can be booked for recoding, live sessions and gigs on an ad hoc basis and please just call for availability. Fees are by agreement.

​

If you wish to book a band (Space Elevator - Under the Influence - Mind In Colour - Brian Greene Trio/Quartets, etc) then please call to discuss your requirements so we can ensure a great event for you.

 

To make a booking for any of the bands you will need to make a 50% deposit to secure the date. The full fee is payable one month before the event. The fees are non refundable as we need to engage and secure and guarantee the services of those involved. Variations, such as postponement, are by agreement, but do not vary the terms of cancellation.

All contracts to hire Brian Greene for Music Education, Professional Drummer and live, film or recording sessions and band hire are through Gigajam Music School Limited
